Living at Mühlen Castle

 "Between 1668 and 1675, Georg Christoph von Schönfeld built an impressive residence at the crossroads leading to Bildechingen. Christian Freiherr von Münch commissioned the construction of the current castle in 1809 to replace the building that had burned down on July 14, 1807. Since then, the castle has served a variety of functions and was most recently renovated between 2015 and 2020. Today, the castle houses residential apartments."

The entire apartment on one floors on the second Floor is available to guests. We, the Schütt family, set ourselves the task of renovating Mühlen Castle in 2015 in order to preserve the building, which was in poor condition at the time. We are Katharina Schütt textile designer & quality manager and Urs Schütt media designer & video operator with our two children Ava and Arthur.

Despite its small size, Mühlen has its own train station with direct train connections to Tübingen (24 minutes), Rottenburg (17 minutes) and Horb (4 minutes) within walking distance (600m). The motorway exit to the A81 and the town of Horb with various shops are each 4km away. A parking space is available on the property, public parking spaces are nearby.
